Designed to boost your immune system, calm your mind, and open your heart, Jillian Pransky’s nourishing retreat will leave you completely renewed and connected to yourself and nature.

In the cold months, the earth contracts, stops producing, and replenishes its inner energy reserves. When winter thaws, this energy bursts forth, allowing the earth to produce abundantly again. Like the earth, each of us goes through cycles of contraction and expansion. In winter, we need to slow down, turn inward, and learn to recharge instead of depleting our reserves.

To help you harmonize with this natural cycle, Jillian will artfully weave together mindfulness and metta (loving-kindness meditation) with slow flow vinyasa, restorative yoga, and deep relaxation. You will also be inspired by serene outdoor walks and a ceremony to clarify your intentions for the New Year. This weekend retreat will include many practical techniques to take your yoga off the mat and into your life.

 

This Retreat was my most memorable time at Kripalu without a doubt. Relaxing into the Heart of Winter was just what the doctor ordered or would have if he new better.

A Sample Day

Begin your day, bright and early with an optional Kripalu Yoga Class or Meditation, followed by a delicious, seasonal breakfast. Then settle into a three- hour yoga, meditation, and deep relaxation class with Jillian.  Enjoy a short break and then hop into an optional energizing Yoga Dance Class. Enjoy a seasonal local ingredient lunch and spend the afternoon resting with a book, getting bodywork, or playing in the winter wonderland outside as you please. Deepen your experience with a two-hour, late afternoon class with Jillian, which includes a mindful nature walk (weather permitting) and a practice to harmonize with the season.  Before dinner there is still time for a hike, swim, massage, or even another optional yoga class!  Of course you will then delightful in a wholesome and delicious dinner. Finally, enjoy an evening concert, independent film, or sampler event.
