Three Little Moves Bring Big Loving Changes

A LITTLE LOVE, GOES A LONG WAY

Write It Down:  Each morning this week, answer this question in your journal:

What do you love?

Write down ANYTHING that comes to mind - from your morning coffee to your yoga practice. From your puppy to your evolving consciousness. From your partner to the teacher that changed your life. It doesn't matter how small or big - just create a daily habit of bringing to mind what you love.  After you write. Pause for a few breaths and notice how you feel when you bring to mind, what you love.

A MOMENT OF EYE CONTACT, FOR BIGGER CONNECTION:

Cell phones in hand, it is easy to talk to our grocery check out person, friend, child, or spouse without even looking up. In the end, we wind up feeling rushed and less connected to each other. To improve connection and communication, look up from your device and make contact with every one you exchange words with. This will leave you feeling more present, as well as make the person you are connecting with feel more appreciated.

A MOMENT OF PRESENCE = MORE PRESENCE, BIG TIME

Find something new, and changing in the natural world around you. When you leave your house in the morning, pause before your begin your commute. Stand still and enjoy three deep, mindful breaths. Notice your feet on the ground. Glance up, and observe the state of the sky. Then look around you, for one new thing in your environment. Notice a particular change on a tree, a new flower budding, the changing smell of the air. This tiny moment, can help you remember to turn off auto pilot. Wake up to the fresh new day, fresh new moment. You may be more present the next moment... and the next.
