Back to School: Yoga Trainings to Deepen Your Practice
/Popular magazines are featuring Restorative Yoga practices, celebrities are promoting it, and Alignyo Magazine noted “Restorative is the new Power yoga.” And slogan's such as 'Gentle is new Advanced' and 'Soft is the new Strong' confirm that mindful healing yoga styles are most definitely trending in 2016.
This is exciting to me as I have been leading Restorative Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Trainings across the country since 2001. And, sixteen years later, it is amazing to see these healing styles of yoga being offered everywhere and touted by doctors and researchers regularly. It is amazing to hear the almost weekly broadcasting of new research confirming the impact of mindful and restorative yoga on everything from relieving anxiety to insomnia; from alleviating symptoms of depression to increased energy; from improving healing time to lessening chronic pain. Studies have proven that restorative yoga can help people cope with series illnesses such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and MS.
The profound effect that restorative yoga has on my students (and myself!), fuels my passion and dedication to continue sharing it and for helping teachers further experience and develop skills in offering the practice. And, while much of my 2016 - 2017 schedule is dedicated to working on my upcoming book (due out by Rodale in Fall 2017) I am offering a few premier trainings in NYC, MA, LA, and CT as well as a few retreats. My training programs are geared towards Yoga Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists of all kinds, Care Takers, Mindbody Fitness Experts, and even those just interested in their own healing.
And My retreats are perfect for all levels as well as teachers - interested in learning to pause and create space for relaxation, wellness, compassion and wisdom. In fact, New this year, I will be offering a unique Blended Program that begins with a Fall Foliage Retreat Kripalu October 4-7 and continues with 5 more weeks of learning at home - online and with me on the phone.
Thank you for your own practice and your sharing of yoga. For as each of us learns to relax more deeply, it is not only good for us, but we then have a more nourishing impact on everyone we come into contact with. Little by little, this spreads more peace on the planet.
Please feel free to email me with any questions at jillian@jillianpransky.com. And if you know friends who are interested in transforming their own personal practice or teaching I'd be honored if shared this blog with them.
With love and gratitude,
Jillian
