Why Restorative Teacher Trainings?

Namaste!

Since 2001, I have been leading Restorative Yoga Teacher Trainings several times a year around the country. Today, it is awesome to see Restorative Yoga spreading like wild fire across the yoga world.  Popular Magazines are featuring Restorative practices, celebrities are promoting it, and Alignyo Magazine noted “Restorative is the new Power yoga.” It’s definitely trending for 2014. But, most exciting is that almost daily there seems to be new research confirming the impact of restorative yoga on everything from fat loss to healing times; from alleviating symptoms of depression to insomnia relief; from increased energy to lessening chronic pain.

I am forever evolving through my own Restorative practice. And, I am continually gifted the opportunity to witness miraculous shifts in my students—spaciousness, healing, and freedom expand in a person when she can learn to relax and let go of habitual tensions.

As much as I enjoy turning students on to Restorative, I also love helping teachers develop and fine-tune their skill in offering the practice to others, which is why I’m super excited to announce my annual Restorative Teacher Trainings at Yoga Works in NYC and Los Angeles this February. (These trainings also are modules of my 100 Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training.  So if you’re interested in going deeper into Therapeutics, this is a great place to start.)

My Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, Levels 1 and 2 are designed to help you gain more confidence, skill, techniques, and experience in guiding your students towards an incredible sense of wellbeing. Through a series of lectures, discussions, and hands-on sessions you will be equipped to address a variety of conditions and situations with a teacher’s tool bag of techniques. You will leave confident in your thinking process, observation, and assessment skills, and ready to help others relax deeply and experience more ease in their body and mind; inspired to make an important impact on your students’ lives!

And the best part? You’re guaranteed to gain deep insight to your own wellbeing and balance as a healer and a practitioner.

Thank you for considering a restorative yoga practice, or for practicing already. For as each of us learn to relax, it is not only good for us, but we then have a more nourishing, positive impact on everyone we come in to contact with. Little by little, as we all help each other find these more grounded and open states we are helping to make the world a more peaceful place.

I look forward to working with many of you soon and please consider passing this along to others who you think may be interested in transforming their teaching and personal practice.

With love and gratitude,

Jillian
