BRUSHING YOUR SKIN

The skin is one of the five main elimination channels of the body. It's estimated that 1/3 of all impurities leaving the body are eliminated through the skin. A dry brush massage exfoliates and promotes detoxification through the skin while stimulating the lymphatic system. Get a brush with natural and soft bristles. Do gentle brushing towards the heart in a circular motion before showering. Brush clockwise on the stomach region to help with elimination. Always shower after dry brushing. SOAK IT UP

Try an Epsom salt detox bath. It's known to activate fluid movement in the tissues and increases perspiration. The sulfur component of the salts are considered an excellent detoxifying agent. Begin with ½ cup of salts. Slowly increase the amount until you can tolerate 5 cups. Stop if you experience symptoms at any level.

SNIFF JOY

Try some aromatherapy. Keep a bottle of orange, lemon, or lavender around for a quick hit. With their uplifting and energizing aroma, you'll love them on rainy spring days.
