EMBRACING CHANGE: THE ART OF BECOMING
/Namaste Yogis and Yoginis,
Despite that snow arrived along with spring's first day, we have actually moved through the Vernal Equinox. And, on my property, blooms of snow bells have broken through the cold hard ground promising that big changes are on the way. Spring winds will soon sweep the earth clean, its rains will till and rehydrate the soil, its sun will nourish the growth eventually to be seen as expansive summer blooms. Nature consistently demonstrates the Law of Change. Change happens everywhere and with everyone, and happens constantly. Everything is in the process of becoming something else.
However, while inevitable, change is not always welcome. Many of us suppress or ignore our own longing for change because it can be petrifying. We frequently stunt our own process and progress with questions and doubts like; 'Is it really worth it?', 'Can I really do it?', 'What if I don't make the right decision?', 'It will take to much energy.', 'Why bother, things are okay the way they are.'
Personally, I have found it is much more exhausting and laborious to inhibit the impulse to change, no matter how subtle it is. And in limiting it, we wind up feeling unwell, discontent, angry or sad. In short resisting necessary growth for too long, eventually will break you down, make you sick, or if you are lucky, just force you forward ungracefully.
So this issue of Yogalicious and every blog in April is dedicated to supporting your journey through change. And you will find lots of good reads, ideas, tools, and practices to help you best tap the inspiring field of fresh energy around us now!
Thank you for meeting me here. While I get to meet many of you in person through classes, workshops, trainings and retreats… some of you I only know through your emails. So please continue to stay in touch, as I'd love to hear how you are flowing through this season of your life.
May you, your loved ones and all beings flow forward with ease,
With joy,
Jillian
