A Program To Integrate Your Practice Into Your Whole Life

A NEW 4-DAY RETREAT + 5-WEEK ONLINE PROGRAM

In my periods of retreat, perhaps I can learn something to carry back to my worldly life.
— Anne Morrow Lindbergh

The most frequent question my students ask me on the last day of a retreat is, "How do I continue feeling this way, once I return home and re-enter 'real life'? How do I live this way?"

It is true that a Retreat can be an incredible respite; offering us time to slow down and break our cycle of habitual living. As we rest, nourish ourselves, and enjoy time in nature, we set the conditions for mind and body healing. We see, hear and feel more clearly after a retreat. This helps us regain perspective on our life and reconnect to that which is most important to us. In short, taking time to pause and grow grounded, present, and open allows for our most wise and compassionate action to rise - towards ourselves and others.

(Truth be told, many students in my weekly class also share that the balance they may create in their morning practice, can be gone shortly after they step off their mat and turn on their iPhone. They are longing to feel the effect of their yoga in more areas of their life - but don't have time to 'practice' more each week.)

So again, the question is, "How can we retain and even deepen the benefits of a yoga practice in the busyness and challenges of 'real' life?"

This is why, when Kripalu approached me to create a program in their brand new BLENDED format - I jumped!

My new course Relax More: Deep Listening for a Calm Body, Clear Mind, and Open Heart is a unique opportunity to work with you, in person, on retreat at Kripalu and then continue practicing together in your home daily (on-line and on the phone) for 5 more weeks! This is the best format I can think of to support you on the journey towards living your yoga.

Relax More is based on the cutting-edge science of the relaxation response. I will share practical tools to listen to what your habitual behavioral patterns, muscular tension, and scattered thoughts are telling you, as well as how to productively deal with those findings, and make room for new, more nourishing behaviors. You will experience scientifically validated Deep Listening practices to help you feel relaxed inside your body, mind and your life... day after day, not just on retreat.

Here's an over view of our time together: Once you register, you will be invited to an online orientation and introduction that will help you get the most from our time together. Then we will meet up October 4-7 for am immersive Fall Foliage Retreat at Kripalu. On campus we will flow through a series of classes that weave together slow flow yoga, restoratives, mindfulness, meditation, deep relaxation, compassion practices, nature walks, and more. We will slow down to receive the nourishment of our practices, savor delicious locally sourced meals, revel in autumn's beauty, and feel more connection to our selves, others, and the environment. You will go home more grounded and open, ready to go even deeper with our practice - online and on the phone for five more weeks.

Each week you will receive a new module of lessons that offer skills which progress, like stepping-stones, from one to the next. All practices are simple, short and designed to integrate into your daily life. Weekly Practices and Tools include:

  •  Slow flow yoga videos
  •  Restoratives and Conscious Relaxation videos
  •  Meditation, Mindfullness, and Breathing Practice videos
  •  Mindful Walking instruction
  •  Quick Reset Techniques
  •  Journaling and Reflection Questions
  •  Inspirational reading and additional reading resources
  • Online Group Forum for further support and to share ideas, inspiration, and progress.
  • Group Phone Call where I have an opportunity to connect with you and a fresh teaching on the week's focus, answer your questions, and hear about your experiences.

To help you build a personal practice, you will continue to have access to each weekly the lesson and all our videos even as we progress throughout the entire program.

I'd love to support you on the journey of Living Your Yoga. With daily yoga practice now for over two decades, I have learned that yoga is not something I do on the mat, but it is a framework for creating self awareness, balance, and compassionate action in my day to day life - helping me to live as my most authentic self. And, I am very excited to have this opportunity to offer my new Relax More Program and use this new format to share the teachings that have transformed my own life, and the lives of hundreds of my students.

And, in gearing up for this program, in each weekly blog in July, I'm offering a small bite-sized practice for you to do at home, online, a few times a week.
Please leave a comment and share how your month unfolds with a more regular practice!

May we all Relaxmore,
Jillian
